Vampire gets odd respond from healed targets

In my last game as a Vampire, I bit 2 different people and at both of them the system said target has high defense. I assumed they are evil or something similar but after both nights, they claimed they were attacked and healed, and a doctor even confrirmed this. When the first victim was executed by Jailor, his role was Lookout, and my other target was bitten and turnt into vampire at the end of the game, so neither of them had defense, yet the sytem claimed this as the reason for being unable to convert them. I know Vamps are out of the traditional gamemodes, but in Any they are present, and fun, even though they are hard to use.

doctors do give a defense msg this was changed a couple patches ago so not a bug here
