Ret using BG twice in TT (ret was not the TT)

Hi there. I just had a game of TT and Mayor revealed. Mayor gets attacked and a BG saves them. It was a ret that saved the Mayor with dead BG. Next night, Mayor gets attacked again and saved by a BG. Ret says they used the Bodyguard to save Mayor twice. We hung the Ret but they weren't TT. TT was a Spy.

So without ret being TT, how did they use the bodyguard twice? There was only 1 BG in the game.

They were probably witched or roleblocked the first time they used it. This is a known bug.

Even a TT ret cant use the same corpse twice
