Is this a Bug issue with VIP mode?

So I was just in a game as Coven in VIP mode. We killed the VIP but because the VIP left? Coven got screwed out of a win. Is that a bug? If it's not I beg the Devs to fix it because that is stupid that VIP can leave to screw Coven out of winning. (Edited as I forgot to add is between that and stupid..)

VIP is randomized again to another Townie when the currect VIP leave the game. This is intentional from the developers.
Yes, there are cases where poison VIPs leave to have Town get a new VIP who isn’t poisoned, which does screw Coven over. But the reason why the randomization happens is to prevent Town automatically losing because the VIP crash, or leave to throw the game or whatever. It is something that is not within their control.

I prefer that the VIP rerolling does not get triggered when the VIP was poisoned.
