Re: CFM12 | Plateau of Fate | Day 1 (But Hau?)

The Lawyer's message is interesting. I think it most likely implies an Empath ability, I can't see what else it would be. I agree with LoF that seeing who voted on a lynch is overpowered since scum would probably all vote innocent, and would also not work if there wasn't a lawyer.

I have little else to add, but I'm glad that we found scum on d1.

Do you have a read on Shortcut either way, regardless of setup speculation?

I really can't see the d1 lynch being an ability used by scum, it's probably Innocent Locked or set as default on a town role. I think people are underestimating how heavily beneficial to town a lynch is, and it really irritates me. If I was scum and received the ability to optionally allow a d1 lynch, I certainly would not use it. Using it this late in the day increases chances of a nolynch much more than it increases chances of a mislynch; we've developed reads on d1 earlier in the day before there was a lynch available anyway.

I'll even spell it out for you, Sircakez on the very last post on the previous page states incorrect information, so I was correcting the information since no-one else was correct themselves directly after. And there was only a 3 minute gap.

Let's see the post.

There is no incorrect information in SirCakez's post. Your reply does not correct any mistake as none exists. Furthermore, the point you have contributed has been previously discussed at length. You would know this if you read the thread and were semi-literate.

Really not sure how you could see a "50-30% chance he's town" after he scumslipped. Even so, I would certainly want to lynch someone who had even a 50% chance of flipping scum unless I had better targets. What better targets do you suggest?

This contradicts what he was previously saying about "mask analysis". Giving night results to a town power does help town, even if it's not much, and there's little effort used. Which is basically the same argument he used to support the mask analysis. The contradictions show how he's deliberately disagreeing with everyone to make himself look more town.

Also this TPow talk seems to be very captivating for you all, now the entire town is buttered up just waiting for a reveal. This is not what we should be doing on D1.

He's trying to assert himself as a leader by discrediting the rest of the town, referring to them collectively to separate himself from "the entire town". He did a similar thing near the start of SFM12, where he was a witch.

The entire tone of that post is both sarcastic and condescending. That's only a single post, similar trends can be seen throughout his ISO.

I agree with you there, but it's still pointless.

But a simple risk-reward analysis proves you wrong.

Say mask analysis' take 5 minutes, and produce a marginal result. Now you have to ask yourself, "what else could I have done in 5 minutes?" and the answer is "not more than a mask analysis". Ergo a mask analysis is not pointless but a little helpful.
SirCakez wrote:"Are you Town?" questions are useless. What do they reveal? Answer: Nothing

I think we should do that, but let the Power role have the final pick.

This TPow talk is very pointless. Surely because we have whispers (fuck, I did not read the OP when it said that) and a confirmed TPow, the stars have aligned, they are gonna reveal 24 hours, blah blah...

What if there is the Agent buff (y'know, the one that makes you think WHY HAVENT THEY ADDED THIS ALREADY) where you tap any person at any time and get the whispers at the end of the day? I wont be surprised if some sort of buffed agent is either in the mask, or maybe in the Brotherhood rolecards; I didn't check.

Also this TPow talk seems to be very captivating for you all, now the entire town is buttered up just waiting for a reveal. This is not what we should be doing on D1.

I honestly feel as if the mask name should relate to the mask, based on my mask name and what I can find on the wiki.

So it bothers me that apparently oily / alouvre / Shortcut all claim the same mask name when they're supposed to be unique.
