which do you think it is? Scum on the wagon or scum just didn't care? They'd know it was a town wagon, but it may have taken one in order to ensure it reach would majority or in order to start it in the first place.

The "I'm still working on my playstyle" could be passable. Just this once. But you can't use it as an excuse. If it were just a general statement, made once near the beginning of the game to warn other players of possible meta changes (Which is a whole nother issue entirely but people still fucking use it) or possible risky plays (which if they involve reaction tests should not be forewarned of.) It should not be used as an excuse to act scummy and try to get a free ride.

"I'm always scum read anyways whenever I'm town" is just bad. That's essentially saying that your townplay is scummy. Now, if you're town, and your town play is scummy, and you obviously aren't trying to change that and instead are just saying "Oh I'm always scummy as town" then you're a PL. Because at that point, it's better to just get rid of you than to deal with you in MyLo or LyLo.

However, inexperienced scum do tend to fall to that excuse as a reason for their failure to hide their scummy behavior. Scummy scum is also lynchworthy.

Now, you did ask for suggestions so as a spoilered sidebar, here are some resources I found useful when I first started FM and actually cared:

Basically the one thing you want to keep in mind playing any version of FM, it's that the most important thing is to pay attention and try your best. If you actually care about the game, don't settle for being scummy. Actively try and improve yourself. Try to be involved in discussion, yes I am well aware that with school and a life this is difficult, but do what you can when you can. Try to be open with your thoughts on what's going on with the game, don't wait for people to ask you, just speak your mind. When you see something point it out. Unless it's a softclaim. Then just take note for later and move on. If you're ever stuck as a citizen, don't worry about dying. Don't self-pres. In fact, get out there. Shove your towniness in everyone's face. Paint a target on your back so that scum are more worried about you than the PR who's tracking them down. And above all, enjoy the game. It's easy to grow disenchanted with FM. So enjoy it while you can.

Just to elaborate, for Nopi I didn't like some of her reactions on D2, Phone/Debil I'm unsure of due to general inactivity, Uzay is kinda a PL imo because he's harder for me to read, Mario I don't like how he flip flops on things and doesn't explain his reads, and me gut says nope to him. Tfios I don't even have as a strong scumread, I'm gonna be honest. The lack of interaction between them and Chem along with their use of this is my first VFM doesn't sit right with me, but I do like some of their more recent posts, as they do carry a logic I can follow and they look to be of a better quality.

Main problem with that is that for some, active players had their accounts deleted which removed some of their posts (rip my first fm... Rip Weez92 FM... RIP a bunch of FM history) which destroyed a lot of context. also where the heck are we supposed to back up games.

even though game quality has gone downhill i feel like this site has always had some sort of "charm" about it, and i don't think I'd feel the same on other sites as i do here

^^Part of it, I feel anyway, is just being able to chat with and be friends with other players. Idk, I didn't get very involved with other sites when I tried them out, but I usually only join fm games these days if they're either run by someone I like or they've got players I like interacting with. This site just feels more close-knit and it's less serious and competitive. It's more like people just trying to have fun. I like that.

Like, I’m not saying that scum definitely didn’t bus, it’s possible they did, but again we can’t judge this based on activity because literally anyone who was active at the time were the ones who voted for chemist. So your arguement that someone bussed just because of the early dayend is basically saying “well scum must have been active and therefore they voted” (which is angleshooting btw) rather than “[name]’s vote on chemist felt like a bus”.

This is true, and I do agree that a quicklynch probably wasn't intentional, but I do think someone probably did bus, either for towncred or to distance themselves from Chem. But I don't think the entire mafia was on the wagon. I think it was just one, with the other either on another wagon or not voting
