A totally legit guide to playing jester.

After the jester change the town has became more weary of jesters. This made the jester meta of spamming and generally annoying the town obsolete. Luckily there are different was to get yourself lynched, not known to most people.

Basis
As a jester you want to look like an obvious evil so that the town will lynch you. One of the roles that will give you problems is the jailor as he can execute you and denie you your win. When you are jailed you should tell the jailor that you were vetbaiting most jailors will believe you and not execute you. Following this general behaviour should get you lynched.

Some obviously evil things to do
There are many obviously evil things you can do to get yourself lynched. Here are some that trick the town.

Faking a failed whisper
This is the oldest jester trick there is. You simply "mess up" sending a whisper containing a phrase that would be only send by an evil such as "Who should we kill tonight?". It is very effective at getting you lynched despite its age.

Claim an impossible role
In order to get yourself lynched you should claim a role that is impossible or at least very unlikely. The town will obviously not believe you and lynch you. This is sadly very difficult due to the current rolelist.

Being an obvious jester
While a bit counter intuitive at first this is a great way to get yourself lynched. Most townies don't expect jesters to be very obvious there for they assume that they are evil players trying to avoid the stand. This is why ironically being an obvious jester is a great way to play jester.

My tactic is generally to claimed to have been witched Day 1, and 90% of the time, the town buys it. This is casts suspicion on whispers and after a while when nobody else has claimed to have been witched, they'll either assume that I'm the witch, or a baddie of some sorts.

However with mine I win about 75% of the time. Looks for ways to improve it (If thats even possible)

It depends on the Matter, Overall you want to be quiet and vote the possible town up.
Then when asked for your role claim a possible role but a role that could be an easy scum fake.
Take this for example
Graveyard:
Sheriff
Mafioso
Bodyguard
Lookout
Forger
Investigator

In this case you gonna want to claim TI and make the will look bad

When you get up to the stand claim Sheriff and show your will

Make your will look something like this:
N1: 5 - N/S
N2: 7 - N/S
N3: 9 - N/S

(Also try and put at least 2 dead people in your Sheriff will)
(Make sure everyone came up as NS)

They will lynch you thinking your mafia


However if two TP’s where dead claim Doctor If Serial Killer or BG if Arso, either or if Werewolf.
(Make sure TP is still a Possible RT)
Then say.

Guys I’m RT Doctor/Bodyguard!

Then give will:
N1: 15
N2: 8
N3: Vest/Self Heal
N4: 13

Make sure the Vest/Self Heal is either N3/N4 to not look like Jester to town but rather scum.

One game, I claimed Jester as Jester and everyone thought I was evil, so I won easy as that.

I continued to use this similar strategy to the one you mentioned, and surprisingly, it effectively works. But maybe just for me. I dunno about others.

Pretend to a Veteran is a good one. Also begging to be jailed usually bares results with being jailed and just being avoided altogether.

i kinda like to act like a retard so people will lynch me because how dumb i act.

Usually when I am jester, I act silent. If I get demanded by town to spoke up during debate in day, I get voted off. Simple as that.

However, if I see oppornutity (or how do you call it, a chance) to find explanation by listening what town is talking, you can make yourself one of the evils. Prefferably, dont act to be one of mafia members until you made a deal with them to kill one of town members if they lynch you. (idk if this is allowed, since I left game for couple years and dont know if it got changed in the rules or so what)

That is how you win the game, be preferrably the guy who is nervous as hell. If you get jailed, in night 1, which is the best night you can get jailed, think of any role fast in your mind and hope jailor doesnt ask for "copy first sentence of your role) or smthing.
