I will usually try to whisper them after controlling them, asking for their role, as I often pretend to be an investigator. I will then change the result in my will so it doesn't look like he's a mafia member. Doing it by whisper, straight out "I'm the witch", is dangerous as there could be a spy around and he will rat you out if you say so.

There was no spy in the game so I whispered back saying it was safe.

If a witch uses an evil, during the day that evil should ask if anyone was witched/rb'd/trans to prompt the witch to claim they were witch, thus letting the evil know who the witch is without whispering.

Once as witch I found the mafioso and whispered to them. Standard game right but them turns out I whispered to the wrong person and he was the vig instead

This is my usual tactic, I usually say that they are DOc, Disg, SK if the NK isnt SK and that they should heal me.
