Icy cold fear rushed through the spirit threatening to break it’s solidity. It’s form that it had held, it’s inner peace and content. What was this? You could hardly be a parent figure in these situations. It didn’t know what to do, it was panicking, like a chicken which had lost it’s head, spreading feathers all over the place.
It didn’t care for examining now. It hurried down the path, it had to survive. If it died here, it’s children; it’s children that only it could protect; would die.

But ahead.
You see a rope.
On the ground
How's it a rope

greenrabbit7 wrote:A rope. Intruiging. Most likely a trap, and with how solid this being was, it could easily capture it. It nudged the rope to test the water, and should it not move too much, it would then grab it. It originally was just going to pass it by but a tiny flame inside itself told it to feel no fear, and so it desired to learn more.

greenrabbit7 wrote:It was not a harsh gesture. It simply picked up the rope and continued on it's merry way. No point in behaving any differently-- after all, it had a mission. Find a way out of here. But, walking down the beaten path, it realized something and turned around, and moved back to the faded area. Holding on one end of the rope, it threw it into the murky blackness and backed up against the encroaching void, to see if this void was as bottomless as it seemed.

greenrabbit7 wrote:The rope. It looked at the long manly string, and realized something was special about this rope. It could cross the barrier between worlds. It knew that it would need this rope. If it was ever stuck it could use this rope to bridge the gap between two separate dimensions, and that in itself was amazingly useful. It had a feeling of companionship to this rope, too. After all it had no way back and the area behind it was rapidly going farther, farther, farther away. It knew that it was alone, and it likely would be such for a long time. It named the rope Rubarb. It knew that meaning had a purpose to it, a memory connected, but if it were to know such a memory it would not be in the predicament of amnesia. Amnesia and death. A sad way to be, to be true. Besides, it enjoyed the gentle tug of the rope, wrapped softly around it’s body. It felt like a hug, warm and welcoming. It tightened the noose it had tied around itself and pressed down the path, following the beaten road. There was little point in going off this road, as it would take both it and Rubarb to a place they did not belong. It was happy here, and it was sure Rubarb was too. It did not know how to speak. That was a strange thing indeed, it could not talk to it’s stringy companion, so how was it sopposed to lead any other companions, once it inevitably found them? It darkened it’s vision till it could see no more and halted, walking down the path still, attempting to pick up any faint trace of language.
