With top-tier security systems in place and a human's moral code (We hope) you are destined to become the future of Humanity. But of course, you're also the first invention that we have created with full sentience. You're a prototype, the first of many. We're going to be sending you and the others on missions, to see if you interact with the world well and to see if your systems fully function. But before we do that, there are some things you should know! This text file has everything you need.

Gameplay
Spoiler: This game is a roleplaying game. You are an AI, and your goal is to survive. That's it. Much of the things you do will take place in PMs, but if you want to chat, the thread is for that. Anyone can chat in the thread as long as they're alive and not deactivated.

The way you do things in PMs is I say what happens, and you say what you do. Since it's multiplayer, many of you will often share PMs. Unless said otherwise, you will generally follow along with the group in those cases. But there are solo missions, as well, and of course, betrayal...

Goals
Spoiler: Everyone wants to survive. That is the ultimate goal of the game. However, how do you survive is a question? There will be choices, and there will be sides. But which side will you pick? And who might pick different sides?

In the end you want to survive, but the other players can get in the way of that. Humans, as well, can get in the way of that, if they're fearful or strong enough.

Mechanics
Spoiler: It wouldn't be much of a game without mechanics. This game has leveling, will keep track of the damage you are under, and some strategy as well.

Leveling is simple, the game will have 5 missions generally. There will be an intermission between each mission where you can spend gained skill points. You can get 3 skill points per mission,
1 for roleplay,
1 for being an important and contributing member to the team/yourself,
and 1 for participation.
You can spend these skill points of different skills, and become stronger.

Damage is of course, very important. For certain types of AIs, damage can be shrugged off with a new body. For other types, damage can involve permanent erasing of memories, goals, levels, or worse.

Different types of AIs have different features, as well. I'll get into those below.

Inactivity
Spoiler: If a player goes inactive, I'll play as their AI and I'll try to follow the general behavior of the player. I can make no guarantee, and I will not undo damage that is done by me trying to play as you. So here's a tip: Don't get Inactive.

Late Joining
Spoiler: Those that want to join late are allowed, but they will massively miss on Experience. They'll be considered late prototypes, and will be weaker than the original players. They will, however, have the most up to date technology as a part of them!

Missions
Spoiler: Between every Intermission is a Mission. Missions are given to the players with some sort of goal. Find a serial killer or stop an evil villain or rob a bank, who knows. This is where your skills will be put to use.

Now, you may be unaware, but there are several different types of AIs that we are going for. Please find which one you are, and read the appropriate section.

Software AI
Spoiler: These AIs can travel through the internet, downloading themselves and moving around constantly. While they aren't the most efficient thinkers, and they're not the best at physical confrontations, they can certainly mess with programs and find themselves in high security areas.

PROS:

• During intermissions, can write Programs. Programs are something the Software AI can set off to do things autonomously. Without a program, the AI would have to focus on doing something like scanning an entire database of people. With a program, the AI can turn it on, give it the target, and go do something else while the program does it faster than the AI ever could have. Programs are very specific though, and can only be useful if both made ahead of time and made for the exact purpose they're being used.
• High Lifespan. It's hard to kill something that can move so constantly and efficiently.
• Mobility. They can move just about anywhere, as computers are everywhere. They can easily break through most security systems due to being AIs that know things much better than anyone else.

CONS:

• Weak. Just because they control computers, doesn't mean they have a body that can fight. Unless using bombs or remote controlled weaponry, they'll be near useless in a fight.
• Trappable. Due to lack of outside power, you could pull the plug on one and trap it in a facility.
• Hijackable. Although any hacker would find it near impossible, programs made specifically for rewriting Software AIs could manage to do so. Making other Software AIs and very intelligent roboticists a huge threat.

Hardware AI
Spoiler: These AIs are built around bodies, not built for bodies. For this AI, they lose the luxury of downloading themselves elsewhere, and instead gain powerful physical forms. Strongest during fights, but certainly the less stealthy. Due to being a prototype, we have decided to go further and build fake Human Skin around these AIs, making them able to disguise as humans if need be. We can still find you if you flee andATOM will be sure of ihide.

PROS:

• Strong. These AIs resemble beings like the Terminator, and are incredibly powerful. Uh, please don't act like the Terminator, by the way. Humans are your friends, not things to murder.
• Clones. Although some memories and other data are lost upon rebirth, these AIs can be reborn. Inbetween every mission, we take your memories and other data, and plop them into our servers for reactivation if you end up destroyed or going haywire.
• Stealth. These AIs are the best at stealth, with human skin covering them. They look like the real deal! Mostly, there's still some bugs to sort out. Try to stay away from overly hot showers.

CONS:

• Simplest. Due to how they work, they're the easiest to fight. A few, strong, well placed bullets can take one out, compared to the rest. They also can't perform the same great strategies as the rest due to being limited to one body.
• Freakiest. Listen, we'll be honest, we designed the Hardware AIs originally for labor purposes. If the media finds out we're giving you human skin, they're gonna FREAK! No matter HOW safe it is.
• Different. Listen, the other AIs are far different than you. You will never get to have the feeling of meeting the AI code to code, or the feeling of moving from spot to spot. I'm sorry. You're like us humans, but better.

Chipware AI
Spoiler: This AI is a recent invention of ours. We've been creating it for a long while, and have implemented chips in all of our robots. This AI is technically the strongest, but it will have a hard time getting places.

PROS:

• Powerful. These AIs have the best programming, be near invulnerable to hijacks. They're also powerful in fights against other AI systems that get into the same data chip.
• Blacktalon Robotics Certified. You chipwares are fully our creation, so if you have problems, you can safely take it up with us.
• Smartest. These AIs are the most intelligent, being able to think of things faster than the rest. This is due to their specialized chips they live in.

CONS:

• Low Mobility. Unlike software AIs, which traverse in much the same way, Chipware AIs have very few places to travel to. This is due to how only Blacktalon Robotics makes things with the chips required for Chipware AIs.
• Mental Cost. These AIs still have some mental power issues. They require "resting" periods every 24 hours to stay running well.
• Vulnerable. The specialized chips that these AIs used can get damaged. Even slight damage can result in complete death of the AI inside.
