If you do run this again sometime I'd recommend shortening the pre-game stuff to like a week at most. I'd also suggest skipping the cornucopia and having everyone start separately, since otherwise you have to do things turn based and that takes a long time. If you do go that route, skipping people after 24 hours is probably the way to go.

I suppose. Although everything was going to be turn-based regardless. But the 24-hour skip sounds appropriate considering replacements don't really work.

It also rewards very aggressive playstyle. Take it away, then you're heavily favoring the quicker, more runaway playstyle

That was like the one part of Vucub's suggestion I completely disagree with.

The Bloodbath at section at the beginning of the games and the Cornucopia are integral to the game.
