First off lets go with the big one, the arsonist testing here, in ranked practice So far I've had him 6 games (most of this I put in the Arso poll thread, but since that's kind of an old long thread, may as well give it it's own post. (note I'll be adding and increasing the list of arsonist games I've played in with results

So, got to play quite a few games on PTR now, 6 games with arsonists.

1. arso died to vet N1. (maf actually won this one, thanks to having a janitor, working well with a witch, and some amazingly bad townies.)
2. Arsonist was hit by mafia day 3. Outed by spy, 0 ignition deaths, easy town victory
3. Arsonist lived to day 5. town called roles, had an escort with will (someone verified one of the rb attempts), Lookout that had caught the mafioso, Jailor and GF (trying to pose as vig), arsonist tried to claim surv. Town quickly counted the vig and arso claims, GF was lynched, arso was killed in jail.
4. arso left d1.
5. 2 arso game. First arso got outed as immune due to a mafia+spy attack. town lynched, town then continued on and caught the mafia by day 6. when the game didn't end a simple rolecall eliminated the arso - again 0 burn victims.
6. Holy crap... on day 6, the arsonist actually ignited... Killing 1 person (he said everyone he doused got killed by mafia), The mafia actually managed to win this game, Though it might have slightly more to do with the fact that the jailor was lynched for being afk, and 4 different townies comitted suicide early game, than any help by the current changes. This is the first incineration death in the 6 arsonist games played so far.
7. Arso suicided day 2.


While this is still a pretty small data set... I do believe the rough assesment I can say on this patch is... it was a good way to reduce/eliminate arsonist deaths, and lower mafia's winrate in arsonist games.


Also I'll note the part of the update I was slighlty looking foward to (the spy compromize where mafia can know if there isn't a spy in the game), does not appear to be working, or may not be implimented.


Now I do admit, based on arsonists normal winrate, it will probably take at least a hundred games with arsonist, to find out if the arso's win rate actually can go up. But form what I've witnessed, it is quite likely to stay the same, possibly lower some due to increased mafia overlaps.

I haven't been mafia or heard any impact on the game from the spy alert. I personally am 100% in favor of that as a compromise IF the original "remove spy's ability to read mafia chat" is still off the table due to the previous poll.
