I personally have a question that has been bugging me for a while...

What is Forum Mafia?!

I Have seen many people with the FM (Roman Numeral) in there names and i want to know what it is.
Can I Join Forum Mafia Games, If I can, where do i find them? I've seen that they play role that are not even in the game, which makes me even more interested in it.
Do They Play Role that the Developers like, If so, can they play your roles (I Actually have a Bunch of Role that Everyone Claims are very cool)?

I Just want to know what it is. Can i get in it? is this like a real town of Salem game (not a RP)? and how do they choose what roles are played?

Forum Mafia is kinda like ToS, cept on this very forums, I can't explain that well, but if you look at the south most part of this forums you will find them.. (disclaimer: I know the concept of FM came first, don't chastise me)

And you can do test runs of certain roles in a CFM pitch, but you might want to play a game of FM first, and uh, sadly the devs aren't really connected to the FM here.

Forum Mafia is basically mafia, played on a forum.
Very similar to Town of Salem.

The latest game signups can be found here, though it's full. You can join the backups though.

There are special game moderators that host games, and test/approve roles. Guzame is the leader of that team.

Role cards are sent out via PM, with the person's role on it.

Yes! Please join in whenever you get the chance! Though its a little difficult to know when signups are starting for the next game.
There are plenty of new roles that are not in ToS and you are definitely welcome to suggest your own to be used. You can even pitch your own role list to host a game if you like!
Roles are typically handled on random.org or so I've heard.

There are minor differences between ToS and FM.
For instance, the transporter and witch are unique roles. (What if they control/swap the same target? Who goes first?)
There are no guilty/innocent votes unless the lawyer steps up. You vote who you want lynched and when they get enough they are instantly hung.
Sometimes you get a limited number of whispers, but it depends on the moderator.
FM is VERY discussion-based and you will have a lot of reading to do. However this makes it easier to make friends! But also more complicated sense people start recognizing each other's play styles.
