New Serial Killer Strategy

Postby MrIncendiary88 » Sun Nov 18, 2018 4:49 am

It's always annoying when the Mafia kills the same target as you so I came up with a simple solution to ensure that you get 2 kills every night.

Simply put in the deathnote that you will kill a group of players whilst the Mafia kills another group.

This can include, "Mafia kill 1 to 8 while I kill 9 to 15" or "I will kill even numbered players so Mafia kill odd numbered players".

Oh and you can do the same thing as Mafia Killing if you know theres a Serial Killer in the game.
Good day.

I don't think mafia and sk would work together as they are on opposite sides.

they are both against town though. both factions would want more kills, for an easier win

Exactly, the point of this strategy is to ensure that the Mafia doesn't kill the same target as you which wastes your kill. Although Mafia and SK will end up having to kill each other to achieve their wincon, their primary goal in the earlygame is to weaken the town and what better way than 2 townies dead every night. It's a very cheap strategy, all you need is the deathnote to discuss the plan and direct the 2 kills every night.

I know, but this is as likely as people doing Trial By Jester. It would be good, but they just don't do it.

Oh and even better, choose a goup of people that excludes yourself, to ensure maf not wasting a kill / outing you.

But really never do this as maf.
* The SK will probably not listen to you and wants to stay unpredictable.
* Changing Deathnotes can reveal roleblocks.
* If you choose a group that excludes a lot of maf, town will now have a list of potential scum. And that list is a lot more revealing than the SKs.
You can call me Bod.
No, that's not my real name. Thanks for asking.

So what happens when the BG or Doctor reads this deathnote and starts blocking kills? Sure you could list more people to make it harder for TPs to block your kills but you’d be confirming more people as not NK or Mafia.
This text is irrelevant to anything that is going on right now.

Ok so the main purpose of this strategy is to make sure you are consistently killing the maximum amount of players every night as possible and you can adjust this strategy so that it will not reveal yourself and your allies if you have any.

I do agree now that using this tactic as Mafia is very risky but since you don’t have much of a team yourself you can adjust groupings depending on where your position is. Not many players pay attention to the meaning of a death note although if the Mafia reads it they’ll have a basic understanding of your strategy.

Remember that one way to keep the town off your trail is giving them clues as to who is a member of the Mafia so if a Mafia gets revealed due to your strategy then that’s ok, so long as you don’t reveal the entire Mafia by accident hehe.

As for the TP reading the death note, it doesn’t matter. The only benefit they get from reading your death note is choosing whether they want to save someone from a mafia kill or a SK kill.

Essentially, you want to divide the town up so you and other killer parties have people to target, if you leave players out then they’ll become suspicious and you can leave townies out of the groupings so if the town does read your death notes then the non grouped townies in the death note will become suspicious.
