Anti-ne strategy

Postby Purple998 » Sun Nov 12, 2017 12:21 pm

Ok , so I've been doing this lately in ranked ... Everytime I see someone saying something like "x person is mafia/nk" in day 2 I always trust that someone , if x person was inno, we'll just let the jailor exe him, that way we get rid of the exe/jest asap.

What do you guys think?

Seems like a solid plan, except that Framer, Transporter, and Maf hitting NK N1 all ruin your plan, in the right circumstances.
Not a bad play by any means, and the part where you trust the person making accusations is very good, but it is not a perfect play. Fairly decent though.

You shouldn't always trust sheriff/inv claim D2. There are many factors. However I like the part that jailor should always execute "Executioner".

I recently won a game as Sheriff since I found mafia n1 and accused him d2. I told Jailor to execute him which he didn't (and didn't help Town even until the end) so we lynched them ourselves.

It's better to hang the "Exe target" first imo.

The strategy mentioned in the original post should be standard to adept players because it's effective. The importance to trust is highlighted, which is often a successful Town's defining property.

In All Any I usually try to act on any lead with the assumption an Executioner or Jester is around 3%, ideally ending with a lynch.

Killing roles dictate proceedings and with more present on average in that game mode, Town suffer exponentially until they start gaining information by force.

Even if the accused person flips Town, don't worry because it's only a one-for-one. It's not like a Vigilante shooting a town member then dying of guilt the next night. And plus in RP/Ranked, it pretty much confirms the NE if they claim Executioner afterwards.

The Jailor can just execute them anyway, to get rid of another potentially evil-sided vote.

Exactly, this is why I always you use it, the only counter to this is... Jailor dying day 2...

There is even a slim chance that the "exe" is actually a nk or mafia member.

I see nothing wrong with that.

What's worse is when the "Executioner trying to lynch his target too early" topic remains at hand for too long, but no one actually gets enough votes to accomplish anything. It wastes time, and gives the evils more time to pick off townies.
