Milkman [Town Support]

Role Name: Milkman

Role Alignment: Town Support

You are a young student who delivers cold glasses of milk to keep people alert.

Goal: Lynch every criminal and evildoer.

Attributes/Abilites:

The Milkman is a new role that has a special drink that keeps you awake and aware! Every night, they can deliver milk to someone which will make them more alert.

Then, that night, if they are attacked or roleblocked, then they will react due to the cold drink and use their role on their attacker instead of what they were doing originally.

For example, an aware Escort will roleblock their attacker, meaning they survive. The attacker would know they were roleblocked but not that their victim was the one who did it.

There are some slight special cases.

Role Interactions:

An Escort, Consort, Blackmailer, Disguiser and Framer will use their role on their attacker.

A Transporter and Witch will change their first target to their attacker.

A Vigilante, Mafioso, Godfather or Serial Killer will attack their attacker, killing them if they aren't immune.

A Veteran will go on alert if attacked, killing the Milkman too.

A Jailor will execute their target if a Serial Killer or Werewolf lashes out.

A Doctor, Bodyguard or Survivor will protect themself, losing a self-heal/vest.

All Town Investigative roles have a special interaction. They will still die, however they will know the name of the person who killed them.

Investigative Results:

Sheriff: Your target is not suspicious.

Investigator: Your target sticks to the shadows. They could be a Lookout, Milkman, Forger, or Amnesiac.

Consigliere: Your target struggles to stay awake. They must be a Milkman!

Used ability in response to killer: The cold milk kept you aware, and you used your ability on your attacker!

Achievements:

Cold Drink: Win your first game as Milkman. (20 points)
Barista: Win 5 games as Milkman. (20 points)
Milk Master: Win 10 games as Milkman. (40 points)
Dairy Duke: Win 25 games as Milkman. (100 points)
How About This: Cause an Escort to save themself by roleblocking their attacker. (20 points)
Warn the Warden: Cause a Jailor to execute their prisoner. (40 points)
Stop Hitting Yourself: Cause a Transporter to divert an attack back to their attacker. (40 points)

Additional Information (comments):

So, the Milkman plays slightly like a Town Protective role, trying to find people who will be targeted. It works well against killers by redirecting abilities onto them if they can guess well. The role has quite a wide spectrum of play due to working with each role individually, making it quite interesting to play.

good role idea. i hope spectre doesn't shred it :^)

also, coffee boosted escort/consort. i can't imagine that happening without laughing. the attacker is caffeine-rush fucked so hard they can't attack them.

i do feel that this is in need of a slight buff, but this is a pretty difficult role to buff.

You're so critical of every role, i'm sure you'll end up hating whatever is added in 1.6 anyway.

Regardless, it's not just a weaker protective. Sometimes, it happens to protect, but that's not for every role. By it's very nature it works differently with every role it functions with and of course it works protectively when it interacts with a protective role.

This role could go two ways. Either messes up town (aka bad transporter) or it could prove useful as a weaker protective when roles are confirmed. I like the idea, though I'm not sure if town would need something in particular like this at the moment.

Town Support is supposed to be weaker than Town Protective, Spectre.
As for the role itself, a nice way to buff it would make it so it gets an additional target. For example, the attacked doctor still protects their target, and uses a self vest, or the attacked escort roleblocks both it's target and the attacker. Obviously this wouldn't apply for Transporter/Witch. Or it could give two coffees per night. Also, make the Ability/Attributes this:
Spoiler: Ability:
-Give coffee to someone each night
Attributes:
-Your target will target the killer if attacked.
-If your target is attacked and able to target themselves, they will.
-If your target is an attacked Town Investigative role, they will know the attacker's name.
-Roles with two target buttons will make their attacker their first target

(Also just make Bodyguard self-vest for the sake of consistency)

I'd take Doctor or Bodyguard over a protective that's a doctor for some, better than a doc/bg for one, and pointless with most.

It's also a protective, and not in any way a Town Support. The only non-protective interaction is with TI's.

I'm pretty sure killing both the target and the jailor is more useful. An evil for a jailor is worth it, especially NK.

It encourages deeper play. You have to find out somebody's role, and utilize how they interact with you.

It protects 8/32 roles. The other roles have more unique reactions.

You get attacked.
You transport Jim the SK and Bob.
You still die.
So sure, this role helps save Witches.
