Forum Trials is a parody of the forums. A prosecutor and defense attorney will try to prove or deny the innocence of someone accused of a crime. Meanwhile, four witnesses will give accounts of what happened. King will tiredly judge.
Rules:
- Fun. This will hopefully be a super silly game, so I will enforce fun seriously. The goal here isn't to win (well kinda), but to mess around and create a cinematic story. Please don't be 'that guy' who makes up solid evidence and sucks fun out of small children.
- No solid points. I'll repeat this a lot, but no evidence should be made for the direct purpose of ending the trial. The trial will end when it is impossible for one side to push the other side. Not when McFancyPants says they have a picture of the murderer taking a selfie with the victim's corpse.
- Be active. Like. Come on. I will not hesitate to boot out anyone who either disappears or plays like they're proddodging.Be active. Please.
- Seriously that's it. Have fun. Let others have fun. Be active. The holy trinity of forum games.
Gameplay:
- The case will be announced. Four pieces of evidence related to the case will be added to the court records.
- Absolute mayhem of alibis, evidence, and accusations. At any time the Judge may step in andgive a penalty or call a halt.
- The Judge will announce the verdict.
Rinse and repeat.
Roles:
Prosecution: {Only one person can be the Prosecution.}
Your goal is to create the perfect case on how the accused is guilty.
- Three times per case, you may make new evidence about the current case. This evidence cannot be 'solid' (i.e. high def security camera footage), and the Judge will have to accept it as official material. Please be detailed, at least three sentences.
- You may make new FAKE evidence at any time. You MUST pm me that A) it's fake, and B) it has a noticeable flaw that the D.A. or a Witness could disprove it with. If it is disproved, the Judge may penalize you. If it isn't, it counts as official evidence. Please be detailed, at least 3 sentences?
- Once per case, you may make one point an Undeniable Truth. No evidence or alibis can contradict it. You cannot use this to make a 'solid' point. (You can say that "It is the Undeniable Truth that King was in the room 10 minutes before th murder.", but not "It is the Undeniable Truth that King murdered the victim.")
- Once per case, you may create evidence to directly dispute the latest point from the D.A. This evidence cannot be 'solid', but does not need Judge approval. Be very detailed.
- You may push witnesses for more details.
Defense Attorney: {Only one person can be the D.A.}
Your goal is to create the perfect case on how the accused is innocent, and to try to find the real culprit.
- Three times per case, you may make new evidence about the current case. This evidence cannot be 'solid' (i.e. high def security camera footage), and the Judge will have to accept it as official material. Please be detailed, at least 3 sentences?

- You may push witnesses for more details. You can also accuse witnesses of commiting the crime themselves. If that fails, you may get penalized by the Judge and may another shot. Maybe.
Witness: {Everyone else.}
Your goal is to say what you saw or think happened. but could you have done the crime and not even know it?
- You may create an alibi with details of the crime inside. Any important objects from the start of the case MUST be included. You may then change it wheneve and however you like, but remember that the more you do that, the easier it is for the D.A. to accuse you.
- Every time you disprove a case against you or refute FAKE evidence, you get a Judge point. You can use it to confirm parts of your alibi as Undeniable Truth. Of course, sometimes letting the case or evidence stand is better for you…
