Role Blocking?

I was thinking it'd be nice to be able to go into your profile and list one, MAYBE two roles that you hate and don't want to play, so that you never get assigned that one role. It would cut down on people getting a role they don't like and then immediately leaving. It happens to med and escort a lot, but also I've seen docs, sks, and framers leave, and those are really useful roles to have. It's frustrating when people do that, and I'd like to see this implemented as a deterrent.

No. Just No. You must learn to play as every role, so when it's impossible for the said person to be any role but Lookout, you have no idea what you are doing... Think, if everyone puts Framer, who is going to be Framer? I would NOT what to see this in the game, I just wish there was an easy way to make people respect the Lookout and Framer...

I've said this before, but I'd be down for nega-tickets that reduced the chance of getting a role you didn't want.
But I don't think it's a good idea to eliminate the chance entirely.

First problem I think about being able to block roles is.

What if everyone happens to be blocking the role? Then what?

Just set it so that the lobby doesn't fill entirely with people blocking one particular role, I guess? Although I like the idea of just decreasing your chances rather than eliminating it, I suppose.

Jahonee, I think this is a good example of why it would work - you assume people will avoid lookout and framer, but those are roles I like. I'd avoid doc and escort. There's a wide enough variety that I think it'd be unlikely to come up with 15 people that all block just the same role.

You'd be surprised. Most would likely go for blocking Medium, Retributionist, and Executioner.
