Patch 2.1.0 Ranked Season One Begins!

Hey Townies,

The patch 2.1.0 is coming today! This patch will include the following:

Ranked Season 1 Starts!
With Ranked Season 1 we will start doing placement matches. You will play 10 matches before you are placed and told what your rating is. Rewards for this season will be based on your Season High Rating so if you happen to go on a losing streak you won't drop into a lower tier of rewards. We will still keep track of your Current Rating though. On top of tracking Season High and Current Rating we will be keeping track of your Career High Rating for the future.

Ranked/Ranked Practice role list changes!
One of the Random Town slots was changed to be a Town Investigative. We hope this change will make games feel a little less swingy while still leaving open enough claim space so the evil roles feel that they have the ability to claim a role without being immediately caught.

The new list is as follows:

Town Investigative
Town Investigative

Town Killing
Town Support
Random Town

Godfather/Coven Leader
Mafioso/Medusa

Spy Changes!
The Spy will be keeping his current ability which allows him to see who the Mafia and Coven visit, but we will be adding on a new ability to the Spy. The Spy is now able to "bug" a players house. This will cause the spy to see all of the actions that player would normally see done to them. This would include messages such as being attacked but healed, being roleblocked, being transported, and more. The role card has been updated to reflect these changes.

The Spy will see the following messages when bugging a player:
Spoiler: Your target was transported to another location.
Someone occupied your target's night. They were role blocked!
Someone threatened to reveal your target's secrets. They were blackmailed!
Your target was attacked but someone fought off their attacker!
Your target was attacked but someone nursed them back to health!
Your target was attacked by a member of the Mafia!
Your target was attacked by a Serial Killer!
Your target was shot by a Vigilante!
Your target was set on fire by an Arsonist!
Your target was shot by the Veteran they visited!
Your target was killed protecting someone!
Your target's target was attacked last night!
An Arsonist tried to douse your target but a Bodyguard fought off the attack!
Your target was murdered by the Serial Killer they visited!
A Bodyguard attacked your target but someone nursed them back to health!
A Bodyguard attacked your target but someone fought them off!
Your target was killed by a Bodyguard!
Someone attacked your target but their defense was too strong!
Someone tried to role block your target but they were immune!
Your target was controlled by a Witch!
A Witch tried to control your target but they were immune.
Your target was haunted by the Jester and committed suicide!
Your target was attacked but their bulletproof vest saved them!
Someone tried to attack your alert target and failed!
Your target shot themselves over the guilt of killing a town member!
Someone role blocked your target, so your target attacked them!
Your target has cleaned the gasoline off of themself.
Your target was killed by the Serial Killer they jailed.
Your target was attacked by a Werewolf!
Someone role blocked your target so they stayed at home.
Your target was staked by a Vampire Hunter!
Your target was staked by the Vampire Hunter they visited!
Your target staked the Vampire that attacked them!
Your target was attacked by a Vampire!
Your target was attacked but someone protected them!
Your target was attacked by a Crusader!
Your target was attacked by Pestilence!
Your target was attacked by the Juggernaut!
Your target was attacked but their Guardian Angel saved them!

Your target's life force was drained by the Coven Leader!

New Death Animation!
With this patch we will be adding a new death animation called Blast Off. This death animation will cause your character to power up, spewing energy, and then fly off the screen leaving a crater behind. With the addition of this new death animation we will be making the "Splat!" death animation purchasable with Merit Points now.

Jailor Deathnote!
The Jailor will now be able to select from a list of reason why they executed their target instead of writing their own deathnote.


General changes!
New end game lobby screen.

If you own the max amount of a certain scroll the button to purchase more will disappear.

We made some improvements to password security.


Bug Fixes!
Fixed some issues with how draws are displayed.

What about the bug with disguiser still appearing in mafia box after he dies?

That isn't really a bug. We wanted to make sure that the Mafia didn't forget who their Disguiser was. We were debating adding a deceased tag to him to avoid confusion though.

The post says the patch is live yet none of the changes are implented yet? Im still my old ELO. it doesnt change after a ranked game. neither is the death animation or anything added in?

Ranked is better but still needs neutral benign because neutral killing is even worse off then it was right now.

Maybe change the color in the box to grey, and selecting their name displays a 'Deceased' tag?

Questions:

Will the bugging make the spy visit his target?
For example, if the ww stays home and you get the message saying "target was rb'd and stayed home", will the spy have physically visited his target causing him to get killed?

Also: Wasn't the Coven Ranked practice list always the one written in this patch note? (3 RT and 2 TI)

I keep getting a message saying my password or username is invalid and when I try to login with steam it says the servers are down
