We don't have a solid date, but the Tutorial is nearing completion and for the sake of wanting to get the new users prepared as soon as possible we may release that early.

Steam now gives 2000 Town Points up from 1300.


So if you bought the Steam version earlier, should you now have +700 Town Points on your account? Seems like I didn't get anything.

Nay, if you bought the Steam version before this update, you will not get an additional 700 Town Points. However, you do get the double Merit Points reward which means any time you play ToS, you get double the amount of Merit Points, even if not playing on the Steam version! In addition, one of the developers made this statement recently:

Does this update apply to people who already bought the game on Steam? I got it months ago as a gift because I love the game so much. I wish I could buy it again for the merit points increase! :(

No, no. You'll get double merit points as well as a special gift coming soon.

Kind of surprised about how few people are talking about the trans nerf. It is easily the biggest gameplay change here. Town is still way too good but it's a step in the right direction.

how do you back that claim up? The point of the reverse timer is not to get the most balanced games, but to prevent friends from qeueing up together. So since a better quality of the game isnt guaranteed through a longer timer and isnt even the goal, I support any lowering of the timer.

The reason the timer was extended in the first place was to improve matchmaking quality.

Longer queue -> More players -> More players around your skill level -> Better game quality on the average

It shoots up the Steam version's sales
It gives you a boost to MP, which is their new free currency, allowing people to build up MP more quickly whilst still allowing BMG control of recently-released cosmetics through TP

It was just such a great move. Shape, honestly tell whoever first suggested this that they're a genius.


And yet none of us who had the game beforehand get any more TP.

I understand it'd be a lot of work, but it'd be nice to have a tiered tutorial system, hopefully with locks on game modes until you're knowledgeable enough to play those game modes. A quick tutorial for every role.

Yeah but why do you say 5 minutes is necessary? or is that just completely random? Of course the longer you wait the more players you get, however the amount of players Qing up obviously isn't constant. So in the last 2 minutes u dont get that many players anyway.

True, but consider that with each update, a previous update's cosmetics becomes merit point purchasable (i.e. This update, the trainers are now purchasable with Merit Points). Soon, you will be able to purchase Brock Smith, Crimson Katana, etc, so there isn't really any reason to complain when you think about it.

I started playing when the game was in 1.3.3 and after the tutorial, I thought that everyone's goal was to be the last person alive lol
