So yeah.

It's been shitty for 2 and a half years. 700-800k or whatever they've made hasn't changed that. They're only in for the profit, they aren't proper game designers. I said months ago I felt scammed because I bought the game on Steam and this event just exemplifies that.
Honestly they've never cared. They let Pewdiepie make a video of him breaking rules just so their KS could be funded. The game could be good in theory but it's not going to be under these Developers for a cohort of reasons.

Maybe you all don't understand how expensive hotel rooms can be in big tourist cities, but they're pretty fucking expensive. According to this article: http://news3lv.com/news/local/rent-out- ... ay-parties it costs $7,500 to rent out the hotel and rooms are around $70. Considering that the ticket also buys you 2 meals and open bar, the cost is definitely justified. Ever order room service at a hotel? It is far from cheap. Also, patch 1.5 comes out this month (or at least it had BETTER), last time I checked, July ends before August 29th, so yeah they are taking time to fix the game.
Sweetapples, they HAVE been talking about the next patch. Don't be all salty just because you don't pay complete attention to the forums.
Jayden, my understanding is that you stopped playing a while ago. Why do you still care? Why are you still spreading hate on the forums? Just move on! .
mdb1023 wrote:And, to say that they're only in it for the money is stupid. BGM is a business, and trying to get money from people is the only way to keep a business going. Even a non-prophet organization is trying to get your money, but no one ever complains that Goodwill is just in it for the money (ok that's kind of a stretch comparison but you get my point). Keep in mind, Town of Salem is a FREE TO PLAY GAME! How else do you expect them to make enough money to keep the game free to play? OFCOURSE THEY'RE IN IT FOR THE MONEY! But to say that that's the ONLY thing they care about is just ignorant. They're not "ripping you off," you don't HAVE to go to this party, and no one is FORCING you to buy the card game..

7,500 to rent, and they have 32k in ticket allocations. Enough fucking said. It's a rip off, the figure backs it up. It doesn't matter what the ticket BMG is selling buys you, because the whole hotel is costing them 7.5k and BMG are trying to milk it OVER FOUR times in allocations. That is pure greed after a 380k KS. How the hell is $150-850 USD worth 2 meals and 18 hours in a hotel? Are you in the royal family or something?mdb1023 wrote:And, to say that they're only in it for the money is stupid. Yeah, BMG are a business, ty for serving the tradition as a BMG apologist. Guess that excuse means they don't have to act as the thing that made them a business.. cough (game designing) You can say they're in it for the money you want, but all the other games people curse like Jagex & Blizzard for MTX, imagine what they'd say about BMG who still as I type this have not updated the game for nearly 10 months. Town of Salem is a free game, but people have backed it on the kickstarter and purchased the game on steam. I am one of those people. Are you trying to tell me I'm not entitled to complain about a product I bought, even if I don't use said product? Next time I'm at a restaurant and something isn't cooked right I guess I'll just leave it and move on, forgetting about the money I paid.

The game is getting fixed, but keep in mind that it's a small development team with a relatively small budget (yes I KNOW they got nearly 500k from the Kickstarter, but that's not a huge amount going towards the game itself since they clearly said they're going to hire new programmers (which they haven't done yet to my knowledge).

Yes, you have made posts in other forums, but ever since the Tormental incident, I've seen nothing but hate and negativity from you and frankly, I'm tired of it. The thing is, I supplied facts and reasoning as well. I don't think you understand the costs of running the game for free, paying the artists for the cosmetics, and of course paying Shapesifter to ban all of the gamethrowers and cheaters. You want an argument? Bring it on.
