Am I wrong or cant we see the roles directly?

Open the filterstab, there you can see the roles of the players. Each row symbols one player telling you their role, their username and their chosen name for that match. ALso you can hover your mouse over the a chatmessage of said player to see their name.

So, this isn't clearly stated in the rulebook.. but people speaking in a different language (typically Turkish), are often reported under "Cheating".

As far as I've been told in the past, the rules do state you should only speak English while playing. However, the rulebook on the Trial system says nothing about non-English speakers.

This is coming up as every 2nd or 3rd report for me now. Can someone (preferably at BMG) please clarify on if we should hit guilty on these users?

If people talk ingame (nbot in lobby) in turkish then they are usign the language barrier to possibly pass information others can rarely receive, thus they are guilty for that. It counts as cheating until localisatios are added.

Or any language, for that matter.

I will make sure Chris adds something to the guide-book about the different languages.

People seem to be getting the impression that once you're dead, you can leave. I had an argument with someone over it last night, who thought that death, in and of itself, releases you from the Leaver Buster punishment - that there was nothing wrong with a Jailor (for example) leaving on D2 because he got killed on N1, and that he wouldn't get a mark on his LB record for it.

Is there some way that we can make the rule clearer for these people? If there's one person with this view, there's more. And I don't think that this is a rare attitude.

Couldn't be any clearer. Whether people want to follow this rule, is up to them, and it'll be their fault when they're suspended. Don't bother wasting your breath on these folks. ^^

Not at the moment. Rewards have been mentioned for the future, though.

Unless you count satisfaction as a reward.

I've done a handful of reports, it's a great system. Although, the Inappropriate Username reports don't take very long at all.

For a long time, the trial system hasn't worked for me. I've played a bit over 1000, which is more than enough to qualify, yet I'm still stuck with this one case about spam.

No matter how many times I press either innocent or guilty, it won't go away. I tried the intro link, but that doesn't work either.

I use Google Chrome.

Am I doing something wrong? Because at this point I gave up on figuring it out myself.

It says report ID 1, if that helps.

Gotta clear cache because you probably marked the box that popped up asking if you'd like to hide future pop-ups.

I have a question about multiple reports against one person.

Often reports are mixed up or have the wrong category for example Gamethrowing but the violation was spamming.
As this happens quite often could it be that all reports(written texts) are thrown together and only for example the first reported category was choosen?

Until now I always doubled the report and voted innocent. Even if in some cases the person should have deserved it nonetheless.
Is this the correct way to do it or should I just guilty if I clearly see that a person is guilty no matter what reason is written in the report.


Maybe some points to improve the trial system:
•Make it clear that the role Colum is sorted to to the player names, didn't realized it until now.
•Since some results are pretty heavy maybe an extra button or box to instantly inform a moderator to take actions faster.
•If friends could be for example highlighted in the same color could be sometimes help with the deduction. For example if mafia passes spytest and 2 Spies are ingame.
I know this could move friends into a bad light but I think we are capable enough to decide if there was a violation or not.

ONly vote guilty on someone if their offense equals the stated reason in the report. If you there is a report for cheating, and they do no cheat but have gamethrown --> dublicate on gamethrowing and inno the current report.
The friends-highlighting are possibly hardly to add...

a lot of reports about "not english".
It is forbidden but there's no reason in the list for this..
so players report about other languages with reasons like "cheating" and there is no reason to duplicate to..

what to do?
