The PTR is up, and open to everyone

Hey everyone,

The Public Test Realm is up and running right now. This means you can go ahead and test the new roles, the Vampire, and the Vampire Hunter. Just log in using your normal login information, your items, and other things may, or may not transfer. If you find any bugs while testing be sure to post them, so we can get them fixed up. Expect there to be bugs, crashes, and restarts. If you are unsure of how the roles work you can go to this page to read up on them: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=31178&p=926901#p926901

Pretty sure this should be known by now but just had the serious bug of ghost townies. Mostly a case with Vampires though.

A vampire gets killed but they appear alive still in town and the game counts them as alive so no voting can take place to lynch and immune roles cant get converted. Leaves only for a stalemate since nothing can be done.

I like the tutorial mode, but I feel it would be more helpful if you got a town role instead of SK. Or was it just me that got SK?

SK is the tutorial role apparently. IMO the first tutorial should make you a Citizen, and there should be other tutorials for understanding more advanced mechanics. Maybe one for Doctor, then Transporter, then Jailor, and then Mafia Goon. Citizen and Mafia Goon would be tutorial exclusive roles, and they don't seem like they would be too hard to code in.

That would take up a lot of our time to add in. This tutorial was made to show the very bare basics of how the game works. We may add more complex ones in the future.

Everyone is in custom. I checked every other gamemode earlier, nothing.

Not open to me apparently. I've had this issue yesterday and today. I try to log in to the PTR and I get a disconnected seconds after trying to log in. It's not really open to everyone if some are not able to use it.

If you've changed your password recently, that is why, because it's trying to connect to your account, but the PTR is relying on your old password.

No, PTR is separate from live completely.

PTR should have given most (if not all) users a single scroll to use, or more.

I remember getting 4000 town points that just showed up in the PTR for absolutely no reason.
Oh well more Vamp scrolls for me

Don't make an account on PTR. You have to create your account from the live version. This is probably why you keep getting disconnected.

Vampire seems pretty fun so far, the only problem would be the case of any ghost townies.

I'm excited to play as the Vampire and Vampire Hunter, but hopefully there will be enough people on the PTR to play. There often has not been whenever I have tried to play on PTR in the past.
