What is the PTR?
PTR (Public Test Realm) is where you will get to try out the latest changes to Town of Salem before they hit the live server. It will be buggy. I may not have all the art that it needs. But by god will it be fun. I will be updating this post with the location of the PTR.

How do I register for the PTR?
You already are! Use the same login credentials as the regular game. Use the above link instead of the regular one to play on the PTR.

Why should I play on the PTR?
Try out the awesome new features! This PTR push includes the friends list, party system and new front end. We heard what you guys were asking for so we are trying our best to deliver. Also, finding bugs on the PTR means we can fix them before they hit the live server.

What do I do when I see a bug?
Please make a post about the bug on the PTR Bug Reports forum here: viewforum.php?f=20

I don't like these changes or I think they should be different!
Please make a post with your feedback about the feature on the PTR Feedback forum here: viewforum.php?f=21 Please make sure to keep it constructive.

How long will the PTR stay up?
The PTR will be going up and down as needed with little warning. We won't keep it offline for extended periods of time unless something went very badly.

If at first you don't succeed, press F5 until you do! Server crashes are happening a lot.

Eventually, but not at the moment.
There were "banners"/flags hanging on the left side of the lobby, but those were removed temporarily because they didn't do anything except look pretty.

I would love to be able to do that but the PTR is supposed to stay up now. Looking into what is going on. Even if it crashes it should restart just like live does.

Are you going to make a link to the PTR more visible? Most players don't seem to know that it exists right now, and getting a lobby full of people takes ages.

Yes, once the obvious bugs are fixed we will be sending messages on the live server to tell people about it.
