More realistically though. Some townie is also likely to be putting out a taunt, and of course an increased chance of a TP or lookout placed on a taunted role.

Quadrupally so if they "repeat" it.

It's a decent idea, but the thought that this could actually viably be used as a mind game tactic is laughable.

maybe a taunt that has a dead rat in a box mysteriously delivered to the taunted player's door? That could play well for the mafia since that's something seen in the real mafia.

Make a taunt of a silhouette of a figure with pure white eyes snooping around someone's house before disappearing

I know you mentioned that it will have a cooldown to prevent spam, but I'm hoping that /ignore will stop communication as well. To add onto that same subject, there has been a rise in people using whisper's in order to spam chat (you cannot block the text "john doe is whispering jane doe" which has been a particularly annoying tool for jesters trying to get a win by spamming. The /ignore also does not affect players who are in the graveyard as well so if they want to spam there is nothing a player can do about it at the moment.

Sorry for complaining, but I really feel like the spammers (and their loopholes) are a major problem at the moment and I just want to ensure the new emotes cannot be abused like the current system allows.

One of the emotes needs to be a creepy figure standing outside the house, just staring, 2. Same as before, but the figure is holding a lighter (mind games hint at arso burning your house), 3. A shadowy figure placing a cauldron outside someone's house full of a glowy green liquid, stirring it or reading a book of magical incantations or something.

I don't think the game should be centered around the taunts.

I think this sounds like a great feature to the game! One of the problems I can think of is if a mafia member is aware of who the doctor, veteran or vigilante is, they may use 'scary mode' to kill off town therefore making it easier for mafia to win the game. Overall, sounds fantastic! :D

A horse head on the footpath of the taunted player would be a nice Godfather/Mafia reference.

I think that this would be a great change. It would really make an already interesting and strategic game even more interesting and more strategic.

Flaming footprints that start from the center of the town and make their way to the target's front door would be neat.

I think that one of the taunts could be a bouquet of flowers (like one you would find on a grave) being burned.

and how would u taunt?
like how we whisper?
Also can u hide the whispers from rest of town? its so annoying when they want to know what we talk about its a whisper for a reason right?

This system will likely go live along patch 1.6 or later, but noone knows when this patch arrives.
How the taunt will exactly function/be used will be likely abbounced once it is released.
The message of whispering could be removed, but shouldn't in my opinion, as this message would grant information.
